Miss Alice Horne graduated from Strathclyde University, Scotland with BA (Hons) in Primary Education. After completing her NQT year in a wonderful school in the North of Scotland, she went on to work in a top International School in Bergamo, Italy. It was there that she gained her knowledge of the international curriculum in LKS2 and was given her first role of responsibility as Head of Year 3. She then returned to Scotland to complete a Linguistics Masters, specialising in multilingual learning and acquisition, in order to better support the EAL learners in her classroom.

Miss Horne is truly delighted to have been a founding member of Stonyhurst International School Penang and really enjoyed her year there as a Year 4 teacher. She is looking forward to her new role as Head of Elements and is excited to become part of the Year 5 teaching team.

Miss Horne has always loved the outdoors and used to spend a lot of her time in Scotland hiking or sailing. She has spent the last year in Penang exploring all the island has to offer and sampling some of the delicious local foods. Miss Horne has been fortunate enough to travel extensively during her time as a teacher and looks forward to continuing to visit new countries while living in Malaysia.
