Mr Ahmad Said bin Zakaria holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Quran and Qiraat from Al-Azhar University, Egypt, and a Master’s Degree in Teaching the Quran from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah. He also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Open University Malaysia, further enhancing his pedagogical skills and deepening his passion for education.
With over a decade of experience in teaching Islamic Education and Quranic Studies, Mr Ahmad has served in both private and public education sectors. Prior to joining Stonyhurst International School, he taught at private secondary schools and later served as a substitute teacher under the MySTEP programme initiated by the Malaysian government.
He is deeply committed to nurturing pupils’ character through a holistic Islamic education and aims to instill a love and appreciation for the beauty and depth of the Quran.
Outside the classroom, Mr Ahmad enjoys travelling, watching football, cooking, and unwinding with a good cup of coffee. He also has a strong interest in educational technology and innovative teaching strategies. He aspires to travel the world, explore diverse cultures, and learn new languages along the way.
