Mr. Winter completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Johannesburg. He was hired as a tutor for the first year teachers. He taught “Teaching Studies”, which encompassed the fundamental pedagogies and challenges South African teachers face.
After working for the University, he then moved to teaching in a secondary school and over the course of four years, facilitated the creation of high performing academic and sports departments.
Mr. Winter was then headhunted by a school in China, where he taught for six years. In this time, he managed to receive accolades for best teacher and community outreach initiatives; whilst completing his masters at The University of Nottingham in Educational Leadership. He brings over six years of experience teaching AS and A Level History and has helped numerous pupils study history at the best universities in the world.
Mr. Winter is passionate about engaging pupils academically and beyond in sports and community based work. He is most fond of football, rugby and cricket.
