Mr Ewen Yeoh, brings a wealth of international experience and a profound passion for holistic education to our school community. With over 26 years dedicated to academic excellence, he embodies the global spirit and compassionate values we cherish.
Mr Yeoh’s career is distinguished by significant leadership, formerly as an Academic Department Head at a prestigious tertiary institution right here in Penang. His expertise is particularly relevant to our international curriculum, as he was instrumental in pioneering and establishing the IGCSE programme in several schools across East Asia. Furthermore, his direct experience as an administrator for global examination boards ensures our pupils benefit from deep institutional knowledge and the highest standards of academic rigor.
What truly sets Mr Yeoh apart is his unique and compassionate perspective on learning. His postgraduate studies in Intellectual Disability, coupled with his professional work in the Victorian public sector in Australia, reflect a deep commitment to inclusive education and understanding diverse learning needs. This is complemented by his undergraduate backgrounds in both Accounting and Psychology, giving him a rare blend of analytical and human-centred skills.
Beyond the classroom, Mr Yeoh is a dedicated member of the broader community. He serves as a volunteer teacher for underprivileged pupils and has held significant leadership roles, such as Finance and Human Resources convenors, in a premier club.
Stonyhurst Penang is thrilled to have an educator of Mr Yeoh’s calibre, whose life and work truly reflect our school’s mission to develop knowledgeable, caring, and globally-minded citizens.
