Giles Stroud holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Design, Material and Manufacture from the University of Nottingham. Before entering the world of education, he spent 15 years in the construction industry, gaining extensive, hands-on experience in engineering design, project management, and practical implementation across a wide range of large-scale projects in the United Kingdom.
Following a successful career on the commercial side, Giles retrained as a teacher, completing his professional teaching qualifications, and bringing a wealth of real-world knowledge into the classroom. He has since taught extensively across Southeast Asia, where he developed a reputation for delivering engaging and applied lessons in Science and Physics.
His teaching is grounded in practical understanding, making complex concepts accessible and relevant to pupils; while also being an extremely effective communicator, facilitating a strong rapport with his pupils to further support their learning and academic success.
Giles is passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists, blending academic rigor with practical insight to help pupils develop both their theoretical understanding and real-world problem-solving skills.
