Zoey graduated from University Tunku Abdul Rahman with a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts (Hons) in Chinese Studies. She subsequently obtained her teaching qualifications from National Kaohsiung Normal University in Taiwan and recently completed her Master’s in Education (Educational Psychology) from Sultan Idris Education University.
Her passion is reflected in her commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds feel appreciated and respected. With over six years of experience teaching Mandarin at private secondary schools, Zoey has also taught at local secondary schools. This diverse experience has helped her develop strong adaptability and gain valuable insights to achieve her passion. She began her journey at Stonyhurst as a Learning Assistant for Year 2, Year 3, and Year 6 classes, providing her with broad experience in both primary and secondary education. Zoey is passionate about embracing challenges and making each day fulfilling, especially in a teaching environment where mutual growth is encouraged. She firmly believes that students deserve respect for their unique personalities and aims to inspire passionate lifelong learners. She hopes her pupils will find as much joy in this journey of exploration as she does. Outside of school, Zoey enjoys cafe hopping and trying new foods. As a food blogger, she loves discovering a variety of dishes, particularly in Penang, and capturing moments through photography. |
