Her journey into teaching began after a career in law and the wonderful experience of raising two children. This inspired her to change direction and move into teaching, pursuing a Graduate Degree in Education at Bath Spa University, followed by a PGCE at Plymouth University, both in England.
She spent five years teaching in the UK, leading Early Years and Key Stage 1. Her passion for education and new experiences then took her abroad to Thailand and subsequently Morocco. In Morocco, she furthered her leadership roles as leading the Upper School (Years 4–6), as well as whole school Academic and Assessment Lead, and Data Manager. Returning to Asia, she taught in Myanmar, reconnecting with her true passion by introducing play-based learning into Year 1 and overseeing Key Stage 1.
As an educator, she believes in creating a vibrant, nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore, take risks, and learn from their experiences. She believes Early Years is the foundation of a child’s educational journey, crucial in shaping their social, emotional, and academic development and her diverse experiences across various educational stages and international settings have given her a holistic view of a child’s learning journey.
